Always found staff to be helpful and proactive in helping me select games. Their breadth of knowledge about new releases and stuff has lead me to stop buying questionable Steam purchases and seek out their opinion on games before I buy. Pre-owned selection here is also awesome.
Either incredibly incompetent or dishonest staff. Specifically mentioned I was from Europe and was buying gifts for my relatives, in particular a Nintendo 3DS game, and they failed to tell me about the region lock that I was clearly unaware of due to my lack of familiarity with the system. So after dropping $45 on a game, I came home only for my 9 year old relative to realise she couldn't play the game she had been wishing for for weeks. Very disappointed.
The employee had me on hold for 10 minutes after I asked him to see if they had a game in stock. He then picks up the phone and answer again with a normal GameStop answer and he had completely forgot it was on hold the whole time. Then he tells me I have to hold again as I am trying to explain to him that I was on hold waiting for him to let me know if he had a game in his inventory. He then proceeded to cut me off and tell me that he needs me to hold again when his phone starts ringing. It was literally the same person!
Staff is always knowledgable and helpful. Great place to go for video games.
I go there at least 3 times a month and all the staff are so help that every time I'm there, I find what I want!
