People are always nice
I wonder about the sanitary conditions.
Service is not always friendly, it's sort of hit-or-miss. When we went to get our ears pierced, the lady who did it was not friendly, and we had to ensure that she was going to wear gloves. I accidentally touched the cotton ball with antiseptic on it, and she acted frustrated and annoyed. Also, a couple of weeks later, my sister's ears developed an infection, and we had been doing everything correctly.
Got my five year old daughters ears pierced here a few months ago. The girl that helped us was very friendly and was great with my daughter. She calmed her down and talked her through the whole thing. They gave her a stuffed teddy bear to hug that also had her ears pierced and my daughter loved that. The piercing went perfect and after they gave my daughter a lollipop and sticker. They had a bunch of deals with the piercing like 5 dollars for a pair of sterling silver earrings and 5 dollar TY medium size stuff animals. Not to mention 20 percent off my entire purchase. I would definitely recommend them for a first piercing experience. Months later it has healed great. Thank you Claires
Recently had an issue where my baby's earrings fell right out after being pierced. I wasn't mad, my other daughter had gotten pierced there and I knew usually they lock, so i figured it was just a bad set of earrings or something wrong with the gun - some fluke, and they'd obviously take care of it. The other employees were completely understanding and helpful when I called twice about the issue. However, when I actually came in to get my baby's ears repeirced, the "manager" Kayla was completely rude and condescending, when I disagreed when she said it's normal and common for the earrings babies get pierced with to fall right out, she acted like a teenager and told me to watch my attitude. Mind you I am a grown woman standing there with my children and she is being argumentative and disrespectful. She implied that I was lying and never spoke to anyone. I stated a number of times that over the phone I was reassured it would be taken care of and that there was a slip with my info and paperwork by the counter. She kept implying I was lying and that she would have known about it because she was the manager. I said, maybe another manager was notified, and she said everyone else is "JUST keyholders", belittling everyone else she works with. Ironically she found the paperwork and note right at the counter just a few minutes later. Maybe it's time to give one of the more friendly and competent employees a promotion.

A few weeks ago, we went to Pennsylvania, and she got her ears pierced at another Claire's. Her ears are doing fine, and we are doing the same exact thing as we did that time.
