All in all the food was what you'd expect for the price - however the hostess had us wondering if we were going to be bringing it back, hoping it didn't reflect her wonderful people skills.
Maybe burgers are better than steak. I just didn't have a chance to try.
I had salmon platter with veggies and small salad. With lime Margarita. So the only good out of this was the service and my salmon. Everything else was the worst taste frozen broccoli, salad was old and for my Margarita I can tell you the mixer is old been sitting for awhile. This is a buyer beware if it tastes funny it is old, frozen and definitely not fresh.
Steak is not very good, but worth the price. My filet is better than t-bone. The side actually is more delicious than steak. Service is good. Nothing to complain. But it doesn't seem like Texas style for me. Flavor and size are not bold enough.
Only complaint was the hostess - I mean this girl's supposed to greeting guests and is the first face you see of the restaurant, she came off unnecessarily rude, maybe she was having a tough night?
UPDATE: Subsequent visits have yielded the same experience. The silverware was dirty again and even my replacement was greasy with food residue. Does a health inspector check this place at all?
This place is so loud you have to scream in order for the waiter to hear you. The food is also very overpriced and extremely bland, no flavor at all. My salmon tasted especially awful, like I had licked a dock. I was amazed by how stingy they are with the food too; Their chili cheese fries for example, is a mountain of fries with the smallest drizzle of cheese and chili. What happened? Did they run out of cheese and chili? The silverware was also dirty - food and grease all over it. I had to ask for another one. Perhaps this was a one-off type of thing?
Had a $60 red lobster gift card that was supposedly accepted at longhorn steakhouse. Before we sat down, we checked with the manager to make sure the card would work with their system. Of course it didn't. However, he was nice enough to give us full value of the gift card to longhorn! Food was great too.
We ordered take-out. This was our first time here, so we had to take a couple of moments to look at the menu. The hostess had us write our own order down, only to rewrite it again herself, she told us it would be ready in ten minutes at the bar. We waited in the lounging area by the door (bar within eyesight) consistently checking to see if our food was on the bar ready, waiting for us, we didn't see it there, as it was hiding behind the bar (unbeknownst to us of-course). After about 20 minutes of waiting or so, the hostess told us our food was ready at the bar - as if it had been for the past ten minutes.
We brought the food back, which was actually pretty good. Steak (i had a 6oz sirloin) was cooked to order, and tasted pretty good, a little salty though. Broccoli was phenomenal. She had the ribs, which were also actually quite good, sweet potato tasted like candy. Bread was ok, salads (Caesar) were good.
